We could all use a dose of great design …

What is a great feature wall without the support of the corresponding accessories, key furniture pieces, and the wisdom to pull it all together?  Just an awesome wall, that’s it.  I can create great walls all day long, but what really makes them shine is a great design to accentuate the look.

I have worked closely with Sarah Bernardy-Broman of Sarah Bernardy Designs on multiple projects this past year and have been thoroughly impressed with the whole experience.  Sarah has excellent taste and the ability to design for virtually every style.  This is key when you want someone to follow the seed of your thoughts and create something even more fantastic.  Not only are her designs each unique and of high quality, but she is a true pleasure to work with and is a great at keeping you up to date throughout the project.

Benson Library Mural: Love-gift of a fairy-tale

 

Yesterday we completed our painting of the Alice in Wonderland mural installed at the Benson Public Library by applying a clear coat of varnish to protect the lower portion of our mural from the passing crowds.  After a quick clean of our prep and mixing areas and a color consultation for the remaining white walls of the library, we are finished!  Below are a variety of close-up photos of our mural to give you a better look at some of the details.

Pinterest – my new obsession

After being asked if I’ve joined Pinterest.com multiple times by fellow creatives over the weekend, I was happy to find someone next to a computer and willing to invite me to join the site right at that moment.  It is a fantastic website where you can digitally rip your favorite ideas out of the large magazine that is the internet.  It’s draw is also in organizing these photo ideas onto your custom pinboards and saving them forever, instead of misplacing that beloved folder that holds all of your best ideas.

A Fireplace Refresher

This concrete fireplace was looking a little out of place in this gorgeous show home.  The mason that installed the stones above accidentally used his dark grey grout when installing this antique concrete fireplace surround.  The result was less than gorgeous.
